Day 2: EDINBURGH CASTLE
Meet your CIE Tour Director in the lobby of your hotel and embark on a sightseeing tour of Edinburgh. Compare and contrast the wide streets and elegant mansions of the Georgian “New Town” with the narrow lanes and medieval townhouses along the Royal Mile, the oldest part of the city. See Princes Street, the main shopping thoroughfare that separates the two areas. Enjoy a guided tour of the imposing Edinburgh Castle, perched high above the city on volcanic rock. You’ll have time to relax or continue exploring the city on your own, trying some more of the local cuisine.

Day 3: ROSSLYN CHAPEL & GLENKINCHIE DISTILLERY
Visit Rosslyn Chapel, one of Scotland's most beautiful heritage attractions. Built in the 15th century, it was prominently featured in the “The Da Vinci Code” book and movie, with filming having taken place on site. Next, stop at Glenkinchie Distillery, a classic lowland distillery, set in an idyllic landscape of rolling barley fields. After a tour of the facility sample a “wee dram” before returning to Edinburgh for a free evening.

Day 4: ST. ANDREWS BREWERY & EDINBURGH UNDERGROUND
After breakfast motor a short distance to St. Andrews, the “home of golf.” Visit the St. Andrews Brewing Company, which only brews a few batches of beer at a single time to better control the flavor and to create a more authentic taste. Enjoy a light lunch and tasting at the brewery. In the evening, join your fellow travelers for dinner at a traditional Scottish restaurant featuring local produce and fine cuisine. Then set off on a ghost walk with a local guide who will show you Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and Blair Street Underground Vaults.
