Dublinia has become one of the city's most popular attractions allowing visitors to step back in time, to the Dublin of 800 years ago. The exhibition starts off with two Gaelic Irish settlements of the kind before the Vikings came raiding up the River Liffey. Then Dublinia enters the Viking World revealing the history of Viking settlement in Ireland, and then into the Dublin's medieval era, with all the sights sounds and smells. Here you can visit the Merchant's House and climb aboard a ship at Wood Quay.
Dublinia is connected by bridge to Christ Church Cathedral and is actually housed in the Cathedral's old Synod Hall.
